We also have weekly board meetings that are open to the public! Come if you would like to discuss something or if you just want to see how our board works! If you have questions or concerns that you would like to bring to the board’s attention, please let our executive director know in advance to put it on our agenda. This semester, our board meetings are on Fridays from 3:45pm-4:45pm.

Steven is a third year at UGA and a Cognitive Science major. He focuses on artificial intelligence and computer science classes in his course work but pursues writing and performance outside of class. In his free time, he enjoys poetry, comics, and fighting the forces of darkness. He is very excited for this year and hopes to get to know everyone very well! His office hours are open and welcome to anyone who wants to drop by with a question or just to say hi! Lee is a fourth year Theatre and Women’s Studies double major at UGA. His interests include analyzing the representation of marginalized groups in the media, drawing Pokemon, and defending Hufflepuff House to the death. He is the Lambda Board’s Secretary General, meaning that he manages social networking, especially the Lambda email, facebook, and wordpress. Feel free to email him and come by during his office hours, or to just strike a conversation whenever you like!

Josh is a second year student at UGA and a Japanese and Romance Language major desiring to be a translator/interpreter or ESL teacher. As Director of Finance, Josh balances the budget and manages money for Lambda.

OUTREACH AND ADVOCACY

Hannah is a third year empress working on a double major in English and Women’s Studies. She is the Director of Outreach and Advocacy, meaning that she is in charge of reaching out to other groups on campus for co-programming and organizing activists to fight for the rights of queer students on campus. If you have any grievances to air, clubs to suggest co-programming with, or simply want to know how to help your queer siblings on campus, please email her at email@example.com. Alternately, she can be reached for office hours every Wednesday from 2-3pm in the Lambda Office.

Rin is a fourth year in the art school who works primarily with textiles. They’re currently working on the executive board, nitpicking the design and distribution of the organization’s visuals–such as flyers, handbills, and logos. This year, their current aspirations include dyeing hair something bold and new, planning for the exit show complete with fireworks or something, and collecting and adopting as many baby aces as possible. They’re always up for a visit by the Lambda office or the art school!

Nico, Lambda’s Director of Education, is a film-loving, webcomic-obsessed, outgoing nerd of a person who absolutely loves getting to organize the panels of queer students that have changed the lives of UGA students. They primarily run the Speakers’ Bureau, the collection of panels of queer individuals that have changed the hearts of UGA students. This is their fourth year at UGA and their third year on the Executive Board, having previously served as Director of Finance. They’re always up for seeing a movie with anyone who asks.
