Welcome! My name is Jonathan, and I am a second year majoring in Linguistics and French. Foreign languages are my obsession, but my professional interests lie in medicine. I have a positive attitude and like to keep things simple and clean. As for my hobbies, I am a ballet enthusiast and am currently learning to play the cello. I am very interested in the intersectionality of identities and am eager to learn from you all. This year I really want to expand Lambda’s ally network and bring in as many perspectives as possible! My name is Ciera Durden, and I am a sophomore majoring in Japanese and minoring in English at the University of Georgia. In my free time, I love to write and perform spoken word, and I aspire to be a published author and a translator. I am a huge advocate for LGBTQ rights and community, which is how I came to join Lambda Alliance. Currently, I am the Lambda board’s secretary, which means I manage social networking, email, and the like. Greetings! My name is Tan, like the color. I am a Junior at UGA whose obsession with pop-culture, music, art, and science surprises even me! Growing up in Atlanta I LOVE the big city, and so my future goal is to live in NYC or D.C. while working for the Federal Government. As the Director of Finance I hold the power of the purse; I keep track of what, how and why Lambda spends its money. In addition I also work with other board members in brainstorming new fundraising ideas. Some things I like doing in my spare time: playing my violin, being active or physical, pretending I’m on American Idol, having a good laugh, but most importantly talking to and building relationships with the diverse population on this campus. So if you have any questions/comments/suggestions/ideas or just want to talk, swing by my office hours and we can have ourselves a nice chat, I’ll even bring the tea and cookies!

I am a Whovian and a sci-fi/fantasy nerd with various eclectic obsessions. My ultimate goal is to be a novelist and poet and to live in NYC. I’m Ecil (EE-sull) and my job is to make sure that you can’t walk 500 feet without seeing a rainbow flyer, among other things. I’m a first-year student here at UGA, and I’m excited for a very queer year! My interests include watching too much news, reading too much feminist literature, and talking too much. If not for a Lambda Alliance ad, I would never have become involved in something that I love and met some of the best people around, and I can only hope that someone else discovers this organization from my flyers and finds Lambda Alliance just as meaningful as I do.
