We hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving, but remember: <strong><em>buy your tickets for the Drag Show sooner rather than later. The show WILL sell out!</em></strong> Last year we had over 600 people and when we sell out, we <strong><em>will turn people away at the door. </em></strong>The drag show is 6:00 in Tate Grand Hall on November 28th.</p>

Student-designed and student-facilitated, Project Condom promotes positive sexual health decisions and breaks down myths and stigmas about condom use. Designs are created out of condoms and judged for their creativity and incorporated sexual health message.</p>

I don&#8217;t know if GLOBES is still coordinating drives, butif anyone is willing to volunteer to drive folks in for the parade, send out an email to </span></sup><a href="mailto:wsm@uga.edu" target="_blank"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;"><span style="font-size:x-small;">wsm@uga.edu</span></span></a><sup><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:x-small;"> with the number of passengers your vehicle can accommodate. They will pass your email address along to potential riders and let individual drivers and riders work out the details of when and where to meet. I don&#8217;t know if GLOBES is still doing this, but it&#8217;s worth a shot!</span></span></sup></span></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our first UGA Pride is coming up the week of September 26th! On each day of the week, we will be celebrating a different color on the LGBTQ pride flag and holding an event.</p>
<p>Sunday (Community): Community Lunch! We are getting together a group to go to the Athens Pride cookout. The cookout is at Lake Herrick and starts at 1:00, but at 10:30 that morning we&#8217;ll be cooking in the Rooker Hall Kitchen. Also, Lambda will be sponsoring Drag in the Rink at Skate Around USA starting at 7:30pm.</p>
<p>Monday (Health): Our Sexual Health discussion will take place at 5:30 at MLC Room 348. We&#8217;ll be tabling in Tate from 9:30-2:30</p>
<p>Tuesday (Happiness):Tabling 9:30-2:30. At night&#8230; Street Painting!!! There will be snacks, music, and general fun and silliness involved. As usual.</p>
<p>Wednesday (Nature): Tabling and information about Athens/UGA environmental organizations and institutions. Star gazing at 9:30 over Lake Herrick. (We&#8217;re meeting in the front left parking lot at the IM fields)</p>
<p>Thursday (Harmony): An evening of arts and crafts in Memorial Hall Lobby at 7:00 PM.</p>
<p>Friday (Spirit): Capture the rainbow flag at Reed Quad at 6:00.</p>
<p>Hope you all can come out (no pun intended) and celebrate our very first UGA pride!</p>

<p>Also, tomorrow, there will be a Sterotypes Panel hosted by I.M.P.A.C.T.-Sustained Dialogue. A panel of students from different races, ethnicies, sexual orientations, and other social identities will be answering questions from the audience about sterotypes in order to undermine assumptions. <p>This Thursday at 5:30, GLOBES will be having its first reception to kick-off Athens Pride weekend! 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thank you to everyone who came out for our Relationships 101 meeting last night!  Remember: we have a follow up meeting on the topic of abuse in the Resource Center lounge at 5:30 on Thursday. We know this is a sensitive topic, and it will be treated as such. CAPS will be facilitating.</p>
<p>Also, be sure to check out the next  &#8221;Let&#8217;s Talk About It&#8221; discussion at MLC 213, September 13th, at 6:30 P.M. The topic is &#8220;Bert and Ernie: To Wed or Not to Wed? Whose responsiblity is it to teach social values, such as religion, human rights, and sexuality, to our children?&#8221;</p>
<p>Our next Lambda meeting will be the usual time and place on Monday. We&#8217;ll be gearing up for UGA pride by discussing the history of pride, as well as some of the issues surrounding it. Be sure to be there:)</p>
